Welcome to The Alexport™, a site developed by Shiman Associates Inc (SAI) to provide access to and information about SAI's web-based applications. Both The Alexandrian Authority™ (informally known as "Alex"), and The Alexport™ reflect their namesake ancient city on Egypt's Mediterranean coast. Alexandria was home to the greatest library of classical antiquity, the repository of the aggregated knowledge of the known world. In addition, Alexandria's harbor was the site of the Pharos, a lighthouse whose flame-mirrored beacon could be seen by ships from a distance of forty miles.
